Jamie Byer has a true passion for the beauty industry and loves sharing her creative journey with others.
With a strong educational foundation from Vidal Sassoon over 20 years ago, Jamie has continued to refine and elevate her craft as a stylist behind the chair. She is a Goldwell Master Colorist and has pursued advanced education with Bumble and Bumble (Straight Razor/Scissor technique), Oribe (Runway Styling in New York), and Schwarzkopf (Advanced Color Placement in Canada), among many others.
In 2015, Jamie stepped fully into her Boss Lady era by opening Parlour e.lev.en, an industrial-chic salon in Huntington Beach, California, which she successfully owned and operated through 2023. While running the salon, Jamie remained full-time behind the chair—balancing leadership with hands-on artistry.
Her career expanded onto the education stage as she traveled throughout the U.S. and Canada, educating for professional brands such as Brazilian Bond Builder and Pulp Riot. This chapter launched Jamie into an even more creative direction, earning her a BTC One Shot Award for Worldwide Precision Haircut of the Year, along with over 20 additional nominations. Categories included Extension Transformation, Platinum Color, Overall Transformation, Haircut Transformation, and Unconventional Cut/Color.
With trends constantly evolving, Jamie’s work remains grounded in precision cutting and advanced color theory—classically edgy, always intentional. She is also the inventor of the Parlour Press, a professional hair stamping tool created in collaboration with Framar. The Parlour Press stamping kit is now available in over 1,400 Cosmoprof locations across the U.S. and Canada.
Fast forward to 2025, Jamie returned home to Vancouver, Washington to be closer to family. She believes that humility, hard work, self-discipline, and determination are what separate the good from the great. Never forgetting her journey, she approaches each day with gratitude—and just enough grit.
Jamie is ready to take the bull by the horns and build yet another dream team at Revel Salon.
